Repositories and workflows

Connect a repository, keep it active in chat, and use workflows for planning, coding, issues, commits, pull requests, review, and merge support.

Most coding requests work best after you select the repository the assistant should use. Repository context lets Polka Codes inspect the right files, keep follow-up work tied to the same project, and avoid treating repository-specific questions as generic coding advice.

The chat workspace can route requests to specialized workflows. Common workflows include codebase understanding, debugging, requirements gathering, planning, coding, GitHub issue management, commit preparation, pull request creation, pull request review, and merge support.

Longer tasks show progress updates while they run. The assistant may ask clarifying questions when required information is missing and can offer concrete follow-up actions after a workflow finishes.

Humans stay in control of consequential actions such as repository changes, pull request review, and merge decisions.
